"Dear Andrea and team,

I would like to thank you for including me in this generous initiative. I say YES, I want to be part of it! I am fortunate to be able to relive and experience the joy of Felix's work.

I have been thinking how to make this exhibition happen now in Buenos Aires. We have been in a strict quarantine since early in March,  which has just been extended until June 7th.

There isn’t much choice as to the site for the installation: We are sailing dire straits in Argentina as the pandemic lays bare the appalling conditions many people live in, many whose meagre livelihood has been made worse than ever. Schools are closed, where some relief for those people’s children had in some way partly made up for living conditions and lack of food. There are more and more people in need and community kitchens are now providing free meals to them in some areas of the city.

In this scenario, mindful of the present context, I’ve thought of a young Argentinian artist, Gabriel Chaile. He has contributed for the deprived building a clay oven -among other works- to encourage the local dwellers to share in the baking and the cooking of their own food.

My chosen location for the installation would be the community kitchen Nuestro hogar in La Boca neighborhood.

Time is short and I would need to get started as soon as possible to order the cookies and have messages printed in time.

I hope you find this idea attractive.

I look forward to your answer.

My warm regards,

Sonia"
